La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday announced a fresh addition to the club’s attacking ranks.
The player to have linked up with the Blaugrana for the seasons to come? Pau Víctor.
For those not familiar with his name, frontman Víctor spent this past season on loan with Barcelona, from Catalan rivals Girona.
And the 22-year-old went on to enjoy a hugely impressive stint on the books of Rafa Márquez’s Barca Atlètic.
All told, across 39 appearances in all competitions, Víctor racked up 20 goals and six assists, enough to secure for himself top scorer status.
Deco and the Camp Nou brass, initially, came to the decision not to move ahead with activating their purchase clause for the attacker, which expired back in April.
As alluded to above, though, on Wednesday, Víctor’s Camp Nou return wish has been granted.
As per a statement across Barcelona’s website and social media platforms:
‘FC Barcelona and Girona FC have reached an agreement for Pau Víctor to remain at the former until 30 June 2029.’
