Aurélien Tchouaméni a better player alongside Toni Kroos

Aurélien Tchouaméni started in the Real Madrid midfield alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modric against Cádiz on Thursday.

Ahead of the league clash, Carlo Ancelotti said in his press conference that the France international is a better player alongside Kroos. “The Tchouaméni with Kroos next to him and the Tchouaméni without Kroos next to him are not the same player,” Ancelotti explained.

Tchouaméni is learning from two of the best midfielders in recent times as is his compatriot Eduardo Camavinga, another player earmarked to lead the Madrid midfield in the long term. Madrid replaced Casemiro with Tchouaméni and the holding midfielder has shown his class in the role this season.

Along with Fede Valverde, Los Blancos fans have plenty to be excited about in the club’s engine room for the next few years.

Camavinga, 20, will join former AS Monaco midfielder Tchouaméni in Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad this month.
