The transfer team at Atlético Madrid are one of a host of clubs keeping a close eye on Stuttgart star Serhou Guirassy ahead of the January transfer window.
That’s according to German outlet Bild, who have today provided an insight into the situation of the 27-year-old.
Guirassy, for his part, has seen his name take its place front and centre in the German media headlines across the season to date.
This comes with the Guinean in the midst of a remarkable run of form in front of goal, which has seen him find the net 15 times in just nine Bundesliga appearances.
Outside interest in his services has therefore inevitably begun to mount, as clubs across the continent aim to beat out the competition for Guirassy.
And one such club, as alluded to above, comes in the form of Atlético.
Despite the stellar respective campaigns being enjoyed by Álvaro Morara and Antoine Griezmann, Diego Simeone is understood to be keen to add to his frontline, with a view to competing on three fronts following the turn of the year.
Guirassy is therefore viewed as both a viable and potentially impactful addition, available for just €17.5 million in the case of his release clause being triggered this winter.
