Ansu Fati forced off for Brighton in Premier League

Ansu Fati was forced off with an injury in Brighton’s Premier League game against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday.

Fati fell to the ground, holding his calf and quickly asked to be substituted. It happened in the 21st minute of the match with Jack Hinshelwood came on to replace the 21-year-old striker, who is on loan from FC Barcelona.

With Fati off, Irish striker Evan Ferguson equalised for Brighton in the 26th minute, taking advantage of a ball from Pascal Gross. On the stroke of half-time, Joao Pedro put the Seagulls ahead.

Brighton are now awaiting tests on Ansu Fati to discover the extent of the injury. Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi also lost Tariq Lamptey to injury on Saturday, when the right-back withdrew in the 35th minute before being replaced by Joao Pedro.
