Sergio Camello is one step away from becoming Rayo Vallecano’s third summer signing, according to Marca.
Rayo are finalising a loan agreement with Atlético Madrid that will send the 21-year-old to Vallecas until the end of the season. The loan deal will not include a purchase option.
Rayo have beaten off interest from other Primera clubs including Mallorca, Getafe and Valladolid for the young striker.
Camello will arrive at Rayo after shining last season in LaLiga Smartbank with CD Mirandés.
The Madrid-born player scored 15 goals in 37 games and managed to prove that he was ready to make the jump to the top flight.
