Atlético Madrid forward Giuliano Simeone’s situation after loan spell in Segunda

Las Palmas have to put together a squad that will allow them to compete in their return to the Primera División five years after their last spell in the top flight. Much of their activity will be focused on loan deals for players and cheaper deals.

That is where Giuliano Simeone comes in, Diego Simeone’s youngest son, who was so highly rated last season at Real Zaragoza, where he scored nine goals and provided three assists in the 36 games. He played 32 of them as a starter, totalling 2,813 minutes on the pitch and Las Palmas have been knocking on his door for a few weeks now.

For the moment, Atlético and Simeone himself will take some time to decide Giuliano’s immediate future. According to Diario AS, the centre-forward (20), will spend the pre-season with the Madrid-based club, where he has a contract until 2025.

Simeone will do pre-season with Atlético in Los Ángeles de San Rafael and is then expected to play in some of the friendlies scheduled before the start of the league season and then make a decision. Likewise, Real Zaragoza have shown great interest in him staying at least one more season on loan at La Romareda.

In addition to the interest of Las Palmas, who started to show interest several weeks ago, there is also interest from Rayo Vallecano, who have also enquired about him. In the event of landing in Gran Canaria, the explosive forward would be competing for a place in their attack with Sandro Ramírez and Marc Cardona.
