Athletic Club have been afforded a timely boost on the personnel front, ahead of the club’s upcoming showdown with Barcelona.
Ernesto Valverde’s troops are of course primed to return to action on Wednesday night.
With the club’s sole shot at silverware this season on the line, Athletic will welcome Barcelona to San Mamés, with sights set on a place in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
Safe to say, then, that boss Valverde and his team of coaches will no doubt be keen to have as many of their star performers as possible fit and available for selection later this evening.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, one such player who looks set to afford his head coach a major boost comes in the form of Iñaki Williams.
Attacker Williams, for his part, has missed each of Bilbao’s last five outings.
This comes with the 29-year-old having been away on international duty with Ghana.
The Black Stars, however, were on Monday knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations in agonising fashion.
As per a report from El Chiringuito TV, this means that Williams – having already flown back to Spain – will be at the disposal of Ernesto Valverde against Barcelona.
