Arsenal expressing keen interest in signing of Real Madrid star

A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is attracting mounting interest from Premier League outfit Arsenal.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Andriy Lunin as the player in question.

The future of shot-stopper Lunin is widely considered to be somewhat up in the air as things stand.

After it was previously considered something of a formality that the Ukrainian would go on to sign a new contract in Spain’s capital, he is now understood to be giving serious consideration to an exit.

As much comes amid concerns in Lunin’s camp regarding his long-term prospects in Madrid, after the 25-year-old was unceremoniously relegated back to the bench, following Thibaut Courtois’ return to fitness late last season.

And one outfit who are increasingly eager to take advantage of such uncertainty, it would appear, are Arsenal.

As per a report from Relevo:

‘The London team is looking for a second goalkeeper, their intention is to sell Ramsdale and they want another goalkeeper to compete with Raya, recently signed.’

And Lunin – young, talented and with just 12 months remaining on his contract – seems to fit the bill for the Gunners.
