Arnaut Danjuma keen on Premier League return

In an interview with The Athletic that was also published on Marca, Arnaut Danjuma revealed that he would be interested in playing in the Premier League once again.

The 25-year-old joined Villarreal in 2021 from Bournemouth and was part of The Yellow Submarine side that got to the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.

The Dutchman admitted that he would love to play in the Premier League once again:

“You can’t shut the door to the Premier League. The competitiveness of the country, the way that the fans are, the way that football has been ingrained there in the people’s culture — the Premier League is a different kind of experience. At the right time, at the right moment in my career, you always have to be open to that.”

One of the reasons why Danjuma initially joined Villarreal was the prospect of playing Champions League football. However, with the club playing in the Europa Conference League and with the departure of Unai Emery, the Netherlands international may be tempted to follow his former coach to England.

It is believed that Emery is keeping a close eye on Danjuma’s situation at Villarreal.
