Arda Güler’s Real Madrid contract add-ons confirmed ahead of UCL final

An insight into the finer details of the transfer agreement between Real Madrid and Fenerbahçe for Arda Güler has this week been forthcoming online.

As much, of course, comes amid fresh chatter surrounding the potential bonuses owed by Real amid their recent successes.

On Thursday, it was revealed in the German media that Los Blancos will be forced to fork over around €5 million to Borussia Dortmund, in the case of sealing Champions League glory early next month.

This comes as part of the terms of the contract signed by Jude Bellingham in Spain’s capital last summer.

What, though, in the case of the aforementioned Arda Güler?

Youngster Güler of course took his talents to the Santiago Bernabéu ahead of the season getting underway, after Real Madrid beat out competition from a host of clubs across the continent to strike a deal with Turkish giants Fenerbahçe.

The accord reached was based around an initial sum of €20 million, followed by a further €10 in potential bonuses.

The add-ons in question, however, are in no way related to Real’s collective success.

As much was this week confirmed by Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu of Sports Digitale.

Sabuncuoğlu has assured that:

‘According to the contract made between Fenerbahçe and Real Madrid; The entire 10 million euro of bonuses will be earned depending on the number of matches Arda Güler plays. No bonus will be paid to Fenerbahçe for the cups and championships won by Real Madrid.’
