Real Madrid are in talks over a deal for Antonio Rüdiger and are close to landing the defender, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
“I see Rüdiger very close to [joining] Real Madrid. It’s not done yet, but they’re negotiating and it’s close,” Romano told fellow journalist Gerard Romero.
The Germany international’s contract at Chelsea expires on 30 June 2022.
Romano went on to discuss the possibility of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland moving to Spain. “Haaland is not going to decide anything now. Everyone is in a hurry but it won’t be quick. The project is important for him and his father.”
