Antoine Griezmann was sent on by manager Diego Simeone in the 57th minute as Atlético Madrid were cruising into the next round of the Copa del Rey.
In his brief cameo, the French forward scored Atlético’s fourth of the night, before picking up a muscle injury and heading straight for the dressing room in tears after he was substituted. It remains to be seen how long Griezmann will be out of action for.
Atlético went on to score a fifth goal to beat neighbours Rayo Majadahonda 5-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano in the Copa del Rey round of 32 and are now in tomorrow’s last 16 draw.
