Andreas Christensen leaves Chelsea, set for move to Barcelona

Andreas Christensen has left Chelsea, the Premier League club confirmed in a statement on Friday.

The Denmark international has already signed his contract with Barcelona and will complete his move to Camp Nou this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 26-year-old joined the London club in 2012 from Danish outfit Brondby. Capped over 50 times by Denmark, he will add experience to Xavi’s defence.

Christensen made 161 appearances for the Blues, winning the Europa League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in his time at Stamford Bridge.

Former Chelsea defender Antonio Rüdiger will also move to La Liga this summer, joining Real Madrid on a deal until 2026.
