AC Milan want Álvaro Morata to lead their forward line

AC Milan are very interested in bringing Álvaro Morata to San Siro, Relevo have reported. Milan see Morata as the perfect striker to lead their line, and have been negotiating with Atlético Madrid for over a week.

Morata would be keen on the move, but there is one big stumbling block; Morata has just signed a renewal for two more years with Atlético, earning €5m net per season, and Milan cannot offer the same.

If the Rossoneri want the Spanish striker, he would have to be willing to take a large pay cut. Morata is a player who can offer consistency and solid numbers. He has averaged 10 league goals a season for the last 10 years.

With Zlatan Ibrahimović recently retiring and Olivier Giroud also aging, Milan need a new talisman. Morata could be a perfect fit, if the financials can be agreed upon.
