An insight into the kind of sum with which La Liga champions Barcelona will be required to part to land Rodri from Manchester City has come to the fore online.
This comes amid the assurance that the Blaugrana will not be forced to break the bank to land the midfield standout.
Rodri has of course seen his name dominate the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 12 hours. After word was forthcoming that Barcelona had positioned themselves alongside Real Madrid in the running for the 30-year-old, the Camp Nou brass wasted little time in leapfrogging their Bernabéu counterparts to the front of the queue.
So much so that, according to numerous sources, Rodri has already given his word to Hansi Flick’s side regarding an imminent transfer.
And as alluded to above, amid what has been a stellar day all told for those of a Barca persuasion, the good news continues to pour in at the Camp Nou.
As per a report from Diario AS, amongst a host of other outlets, Manchester City have agreed to sell their engine room metronome to Barcelona for a fee of around €60 million.
This comes ahead of the expiration of Rodri’s contract terms at The Etihad in 12 months’ time.
