The statistics behind Barcelona star Jules Koundé’s latest impressive showing at this summer’s World Cup have come to the fore online.
This comes after the defender played a leading role in France’s knockout clash with Paraguay.
Didier Deschamps’ troops were back in action late on Saturday, locking horns with South American outfit Paraguay with a place in the World Cup’s Last-16 on the line.
And en route to an eventual 1-0 triumph for Les Bleus, the aforementioned Koundé continued what has been a fine spell of individual form in North America.
From his berth at right-back, Koundé shone on both sides of the ball, stout in his defensive work, and accurate in his passing and movement between the lines.
These efforts gave rise to an impressive stat line all told for the former Sevilla man, summed up by Sofascore as follows:
- 56/59 passes completed (95%)
- 3/4 long balls completed
- 25 carries
- 4 recoveries
- 4 clearances
- 3/4 ground duels won
- 2/2 aerial duels won
