Two highly-regarded up-and-coming members of the youth setup at La Liga giants Barcelona have this weekend seen their fine recent form rewarded.
First on the agenda comes Diego Kochen.
Kochen is a 17-year-old goalkeeper, who is currently plying his trade with Barcaâs U19s.
Already considered a potential future first-team star in Catalunyaâs capital, the Miami native has in turn been afforded a call-up to the United Statesâ U19 squad for upcoming meetings with England and Morocco:
And set to follow Kochen onto the international stage in short order is a player to have been grabbing headlines in La Masia for some time now.
The starlet in question? Mika Faye.
Defender Faye, for his part, is in the midst of a stellar debut campaign on Barcelonaâs books.
Starring at the heart of Rafa MĂĄrquezâs Barca AtlĂštic backline, the 19-year-old has quickly made his way onto the radar of first-team boss Xavi, to the point that he, like Kochen, was included in the Blaugranaâs matchday squad to face Mallorca last weekend.
And, evidently, Fayeâs exploits in Spain have not gone at all unnoticed in his home country of Senegal.
In fact, as per journalist Fabrizio Romano, the former KustoĆĄija talent is all set for a maiden call-up to Senegalâs senior squad, for fixtures against Gabon, and Benin.
