Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s trip to take on Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday, head coach Zinedine Zidane discussed the latest injury setback to Eden Hazard.
“It’s another injury for him and it’s bad news for us, but it’s something that’s happening to a lot of teams and we have to deal with it because just like other teams we have got a lot of players. I have no doubts about the player he is and what he wants to achieve here. He’s had a bad time of it recently and we’re going to help him. He is very strong mentally.”
Real Madrid confirmed the thigh injury to Hazard on Monday afternoon, which will leave the Belgian out for a minimum of 20 days. He will miss the Madrid derby on December 12 as a result.
