Tottenham were considering a move for Atlético Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco but were too late as the deadline for his release clause expired in recent days, according to David Ornstein.
Atlético could sell the 28-year-old this summer but want to keep him for the remainder of the season. The Belgian player is also reportedly happy in the Spanish capital.
