In his pre-match press conference on Saturday ahead of Barcelona’s match against Elche this weekend, manager Xavi spoke about Spanish midfielder Pedri.
“It came naturally to me to compare Pedri with Iniesta. He still reminds me of Andrés [Iniesta] even though there has been criticism. For me, he is the greatest talent in the history of Spanish football that I have ever seen.”
On Erling Haaland
“I can’t give details about Haaland. We are working for the present and the future. I can’t say more.”
Xavi reportedly met Haaland in Munich earlier this week to discuss the future of the Norwegian striker.
