Xavi’s Barcelona’s front three for PSG clash locked in

An insight into the selection plans of the coaching staff at La Liga giants Barcelona for the club’s fast-approaching showdown with Paris Saint-Germain has been forthcoming on Monday.

The news comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and surrounds the attacking trio set to be fielded at the Parc des Princes.

Barca, of course, are primed to fly out to Paris on Tuesday, ahead of locking horns with Ligue 1 champions PSG 24 hours later.

In the buildup to the clash, much of the chatter has surrounded the Blaugrana’s expected line-up.

As much comes with all of Andreas Christensen, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri pushing for respective returns in the middle of the park.

What, though, of Xavi’s plans up top?

Also front and centre in the pre-match discussion has been the battle for a start between Raphinha, and João Félix.

The former was favoured in Barcelona’s post-international break return to action against Las Palmas.

Frontman Félix, though, is understood to have thoroughly impressed with his exploits in training over the course of the last week.

But, evidently, as much has not proven enough…

As per the aforementioned Sport, the decision has been made: Raphinha will start against PSG.

The Brazilian will take his place on the left flank, with Lamine Yamal on the right, and Robert Lewandowski through the middle.
