Xavi: “There is a long way to go.”

Xavi spoke to DAZN after Barcelona’s 3-0 win over Sevilla in La Liga on Sunday night.

“I’m satisfied because the players have done an immense job. I’m satisfied in general with how we’ve gone out to play. And things are working out. We have eight points [on Real Madrid]. Today was an important day but there’s a long way to go. There are 18 rounds left.”

On Raphinha

“We created a lot of chances against Sevilla’s low block. Although there has been criticism, we value his [Raphinha] work. He attacks the spaces, offers us something in attack and he is doing decisive things. He is an extraordinary player.”

On Jordi Alba

“He gives us a lot and is vital to the team. I’m especially happy for him.”

Alba also spoke after the win at Camp Nou.

“We’re having a very good season, playing well, pressing well and stopping our opponents from creating chances. It’s eight points and it’s a good distance, but there’s still a long way to go in La Liga,” the left-back said.
