Alfred Schreuder has left Club Brugge to take over at Ajax, replacing Erik Ten Hag who left for Manchester United. According to HLN, Real Sociedad B manager Xabi Alonso is on the list of possible replacements at the club.
The Belgian media outlet reports that contact has been made. Alonso is reportedly focused on La Real until the end of the league season.
According to AS, Brugge’s interest in Xabi Alonso goes back a long way. In January it was reported in Belgium that Brugge had already expressed an interest in the Spanish coach when Philippe Clément left the club and replaced Nico Kovac at Monaco.
