Xabi Alonso admits he has been ‘waiting for one player since I joined’

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has moved to make clear his delight with having one member of the club’s midfield ranks finally at his disposal.

The player in question? Eduardo Camavinga.

Youngster Camavinga is for his part fresh off taking to the pitch for just the 2nd time this season on Tuesday night.

This comes after a spell on the sidelines dating all the way back to last season.

After managing his first outing of the term against Espanyol over the weekend, the 22-year-old was again introduced off the bench at Levante yesterday evening.

And safe to say, one individual who is nothing short of delighted with these developments is the aforementioned Xabi Alonso.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side’s latest victory, Real Madrid’s headmaster explained:

“Camavinga is so dynamic, so good, you saw him when he just picked up the ball and he went all the way to the opponent’s box? I’m so happy he’s finally with us. I’ve been waiting since I joined.”
