Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has this weekend moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé.
This comes after the Frenchman touched down in Saudi Arabia ahead of the upcoming Spanish Super Cup.
Mbappé was for his part forced to sit out in midweek, as Real Madrid booked a place in the Supercopa finale courtesy of a 2-1 victory over city rivals Atlético.
The prolific frontman has spent the last week dealing with a fresh fitness complaint, enough to rule him out of Los Blancos’ last two fixtures.
Mbappé has taken significant strides forward in his recovery over recent days, though, giving rise to hope surrounding his potential participation in El Clásico.
And one individual fully aware of the added quality which the former PSG man would bring to Real’s frontline is the aforementioned Hansi Flick.
Drawn on Mbappé’s arrival in Jeddah during his pre-match press conference on Saturday, Barcelona boss Flick explained:
“Kylian Mbappé has arrived in Jeddah? Right now, Mbappé is the best striker. Exactly the case. He has scored many, many goals, and he is a world-class player.”
