The powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid are of the opinion that the impending arrival of Kylian Mbappé at the club will not hinder the development of youngster Endrick.
In fact, Los Blancos envision quite the opposite playing out…
The subject of the attacking options set to be at the disposal of Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti next season has of course long taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain.
As much comes with the already star-studded frontline at the Santiago Bernabéu set to be added to yet further, by not one, but two high-profile additions.
The players in question come in the form of aforementioned pair Kylian Mbappé, and Endrick.
The latter’s move to La Liga has long been confirmed, since the Real brass struck a deal with their counterparts at Brazilian outfit Palmeiras all the way back in 2022.
And official confirmation regarding Mbappé is too expected to be forthcoming in short order, the France international primed to arrive on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
With Mbappé set to join the likes of Vinícius Jr, Rodrygo and an increasingly prominent Brahim Díaz in Madrid in the summer, though, it has been suggested by the media and fans alike that the development of Endrick could be compromised.
Despite being just 17, the Brazilian international has long acted as a first-team regular in his home country, with the competition for places almost certain to relegate Endrick to a bench role from the off in 2024/25.
If the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, however, then Real Madrid are not at all worried.
As per a report from Relevo, the idea of Carlo Ancelotti and his staff is ‘to offer him an adequate ecosystem so that he can progressively have minutes and adapt to the white club step by step’.
For this reason, Mbappé’s arrival is actually viewed as a blessing for Endrick, in taking any immediate pressure to perform off the shoulders of the young attacker.
