La Liga giants Real Madrid could be afforded a boost on the personnel front next month.
This comes amid confirmation that the French national team are considering not calling Aurélien Tchouaméni up for the October international break.
Midfielder Tchouaméni played a starring role for his country this month, across a pair of meetings with Ukraine and Iceland.
En route to a 2-1 victory in the latter, however, the former Monaco man was given his marching orders.
Shown a straight red card for a studs-up challenge, Tchouaméni is now facing up to a minimum of a one-game ban.
And though a blow for his nation, his club will likely be quietly delighted with as much.
As confirmed by Diario AS, in the case of Tchouaméni being hit with a one-game ban rather than two (in which case he would also not be called up), Didier Deschamps may well afford his midfield standout the October break off.
As much would mark a welcome boost for Xabi Alonso and the Real Madrid coaching staff, desperate for Tchouaméni to stay fit and firing amid a stellar spell of individual form.
