A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona opted against celebrating alongside his teammates following their last-gasp winner on Saturday.
The player in question? Eric García.
Barcelona are of course fresh off a victory to remember earlier this evening.
After heading into injury-time in a derby meeting with Girona looking as though they were set to drop two points, the Blaugrana conjured up a last-gasp winner.
This came through Ronald Araújo, who had been introduced to proceedings in a centre-forward role not long before.
The Uruguayan’s finish sparked predictably chaotic celebrations among the hosts’ players, staff and fans alike.
As alluded to above, though, one who did not allow himself to be swept up in the moment was Eric García.
Whilst Barcelona’s stars wheeled away towards the corner flag to celebrate with match-winner Araújo, Eric was spotted looking more solemn.
The understanding is that as much came as a show of respect for his former club, and teammates at Girona.
