An explanation for the absence of Marcus Rashford from Barcelona’s latest line-up has been forthcoming online.
Barcelona are of course primed to return to action in short order.
Turning focus back towards matters on the domestic front, the Blaugrana have welcomed Getafe to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.
The matchup comes fresh off Hansi Flick’s troops kicking their European campaign into gear with a victory over Newcastle United in midweek.
On that occasion, it was Marcus Rashford who proved himself the star of the show, notching a brilliant brace at St. James’ Park.
In turn, it came as something of a surprise when the Englishman was not included in Barca’s starting XI to face Getafe.
As alluded to above, though, an explanation for precisely why has since been provided.
As per a report from Blaugrana insider Fernando Polo:
‘Rashford, after his brace in Newcastle, is a substitute today due to a slight delay (being late for training)… The German has red lines, and punctuality is one of them.’
