An insight into the reasoning behind Lamine Yamal’s absence from Barcelona’s latest starting line-up has been forthcoming online.

Kicking the defence of their Spanish Super Cup title into gear, the Blaugrana have been pitted against former manager Ernesto Valverde’s Athletic Club.
Hansi Flick opted for a strong XI for the evening, making clear that he and his staff are taking the Supercopa seriously.
As alluded to above, though, one high-profile absence from Barca’s team came in the form of Lamine Yamal.
The Spanish international has been replaced in the Spanish champions’ line-up for the evening by fellow youngster Roony Bardghji:

As per a report from Barcelona insider Carlos Monfort of Diario Sport:
‘Flick has opted to give the winger a rest so he can recover and be at his maximum level in the hypothetical final. Tomorrow, in principle, he should train normally with the team.’
