Why Hansi Flick has rejected a ‘traditional’ presentation as new Barcelona manager

Incoming Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has opted against taking part in a traditional presentation process with the club.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Monday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

It is of course common knowledge across world football that Flick will imminently be unveiled as the latest installation on the bench at Barcelona.

As much comes with the German having been chosen by Joan Laporta and co. to lead the new project, following the dismissal of Xavi.

An official announcement regarding Flick’s arrival is expected to be forthcoming on Tuesday, upon the tactician putting pen to paper on his contract with the Blaugrana.

As alluded to above, however, a presentation in front of the Barca faithful is not expected to follow.

As per MD, Flick has made clear to the Camp Nou brass that he is against as much.

Why? ‘The German coach wants to fully understand the sporting and economic situation of Barça before making an appearance before the press covering the current situation of the Barça club.’
