Why Barcelona star was taken off at half-time vs Alavés

Barcelona star Eric García was hooked from the club’s latest outing due to a blow to the head.

That’s according to Jijantes, who have on Saturday evening provided an insight into the details of the situation.

Defender Eric was for his part in from the off once more a short time ago, as Barcelona played host to Deportivo Alavés in a La Liga clash.

With just 45 minutes on the clock, however, the former Manchester City man was hauled off.

And as per a report from Jijantes, this came as a precaution:

‘Eric García did not play the second half due to the dizziness he was experiencing after the blow to the face in the first-half.’

Despite Eric’s problem, it proved to be a largely positive day’s work for Barcelona on Saturday.

After falling behind inside the opening 60 seconds of their latest outing, the Blaugrana ultimately triumphed by three goals to one, courtesy of a Lamine Yamal equaliser, followed by a Dani Olmo brace.
