An explanation for the half-time withdrawal of Real Madrid star Arda Güler during the club’s meeting with Valencia has come to the fore online.
This comes amid confirmation of the 20-year-old struggling with a minor injury.
Arda was for his part in from the off once more this evening, as Real Madrid welcomed the aforementioned Valencia to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.
And the Turk carried his fine recent form through the first-half of the fixture, laying on a fine assist for Kylian Mbappé to double Los Blancos’ advantage.
In turn, it may have come as something of a surprise to see Arda fail to emerge for the 2nd-half.
As revealed by Real Madrid insider Guillermo Rai, though, this came as a precaution on the part of Xabi Alonso and co.
After the youngster went to ground inside the opening minutes at the Bernabéu with an ankle concern, it was decided that Arda would not be risked for the final 45 minutes.
