An explanation for the absence of Alejandro Balde from Barcelona’s line-up to face Celta Vigo has been forthcoming online.
Barca, of course, are currently locked in action.
In the club’s post-international break return, the Blaugrana have made the trip to Balaídos, for a La Liga meeting with the aforementioned Celta Vigo.
Hansi Flick opted for a trio of changes to his XI for the clash, with Dani Olmo and Gavi having stepped into the visitors’ midfield.
An altogether more surprising alteration, though, was forthcoming at left-back, where Alejandro Balde dropped to the bench, replaced by Gerard Martín.
And, as alluded to above, in the time since, an explanation for as much has been provided.
As revealed by Barcelona insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS:
‘Balde is out of the starting eleven as a precaution. As we explained in Diario AS, he has been left on the bench due to hamstring problems.’
