Who won the Man of the Match award for Barcelona vs Getafe?

A member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Barcelona secured for himself the Man of the Match award in the club’s latest outing.

The Blaugrana star in question? Anthony Gordon.

Barcelona marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Getafe to Catalunya’s capital with sights on maintaining their flawless start to the new campaign.

The aforementioned Anthony Gordon featured from the off in the fixture, rewarded for a stellar international break with a place on Hansi Flick’s left wing.

And en route to an eventual 3-0 victory for the hosts, the former Newcastle United man proved himself the star of the show.

The highlight of a fine all-round showing on Gordon’s part came inside the opening two minutes, as the Englishman cut inside from the left, beating several defenders, before directing home a deflected strike.

And as alluded to above, despite competition from the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Lamine Yamal, Gordon’s efforts were in turn recognised courtesy of the Man of the Match prize at the Spotify Camp Nou.
