A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona secured for himself Man of the Match honours in the club’s most recent outing.
The player in question? Lamine Yamal.
Wide-man Lamine was in from the off once more this evening, as Barcelona made the trip to Bilbao for a league meeting with Athletic Club.
And en route to an eventual 1-0 triumph, the 18-year-old proved himself the star of the show.
Slipped in down the right wing by substitute Pedri during the 2nd-half, Lamine cut inside onto his left foot, before bending an inch-perfect effort home off the inside of the far post.
This came amid another solid all-round showing on the part of the Spanish international, who currently finds himself in a rich vein of form in front of goal.
And as alluded to above, post-match, Lamine’s exploits were rewarded by way of the MVP (Man of the Match) prize:
Conor Laird – GSFN
