A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid ultimately beat out the stiff competition to scoop the Man of the Match prize following the club’s latest outing.
The Blancos star in question? Jude Bellingham.
Real Madrid were of course back in action a short time ago, turning their focus back towards matters on the continent in a Champions League meeting with Greek side AEK Athens.
After twice falling behind, the visitors ultimately emerged on the right side of a 3-2 result, thanking a last-gasp Federico Valverde screamer for their 7th win on the bounce.
Valverde, though, was not the only member of José Mourinho’s ranks to notch a wonderful goal in Athens this evening. So too did Jude Bellingham, whose sumptuous left-footed backheel levelled things up during the first-half.
The cherry on top of a fine individual display, the Englishman, in turn, was named the official ‘MVP’ following the full-time whistle at the AEK Arena.
