Who won Barcelona’s Man of the Match award in win over Villarreal?

Barcelona star Raphinha beat out stiff competition to secure the Man of the Match award in the club’s latest outing.

This of course comes fresh off another impactful showing on the part of the Brazilian.

Barcelona marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to high-flying Villarreal for a highly anticipated La Liga showdown.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana ensured that they will head into the new year boasting a four-point advantage atop the table.

As much came courtesy of a 2-0 triumph.

The aforementioned Raphinha was responsible for getting the scoring underway at La Cerámica, slotting home from the penalty spot during the first-half.

This proved the highlight of a fine all-round performance, featuring trademark hustle, darting runs, and incisive passing.

Whilst the likes of Joan García, Frenkie de Jong and Lamine Yamal all impressed, too, it was Raphinha who in turn clinched ‘MVP’ honours on the evening:
