Who was named Man of the Match in Barcelona 3-0 Levante?

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona beat out the competition to secure the Man of the Match award in the club’s latest outing.

The player in question? João Cancelo.

Full-back Cancelo was for his part in from the off on Sunday afternoon, as Barcelona locked horns with Levante in a league clash.

When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops emerged on the right side of a 3-0 result, to climb back clear of Real Madrid to the summit of the table.

And en route to as much, the club’s defensive loanee enjoyed a fine individual performance.

Cancelo was in superb form throughout the 90 minutes at the Spotify Camp Nou, proving himself a constant threat down the left flank.

The highlight of his showing came just beyond the half-hour mark, when the Portugal international laid on a gorgeous assist for Frenkie de Jong.

And as alluded to above, such efforts proved enough for Cancelo, post-match, to nab the Man of the Match prize at the Camp Nou.
