A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona beat out stiff competition to secure Man of the Match honours in the club’s meeting with Atlético Madrid.
The Blaugrana star in question? Raphinha.
Wide-man Raphinha was for his part in from the off for the latest time this evening, as Barca welcomed in-form Atlético to Catalunya’s capital for a crunch clash in the race for the La Liga title.
This came as his 2nd successive start following two months on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
And after playing a starring role against Deportivo Alavés over the weekend, the Brazilian did likewise on Tuesday.
En route to a 3-1 Blaugrana triumph, Raphinha brought his side level during the first-half, courtesy of a fine run and finish.
This marked just the highlight of what was a superb all-round showing, though, featuring drive, intensity and quality alike.
In turn, despite the likes of Gerard Martín and Pedri thoroughly impressing over the 90 minutes, it was Raphinha who was ultimately named Man of the Match:
