The identity of the defender most likely to depart La Liga champions Barcelona this summer has been revealed.
This comes, for those who missed it, after Blaugrana sporting director Deco all but confirmed on Sunday that one such player will be moved on over the weeks ahead.
During an extensive interview with La Vanguardia, as cited by Fabrizio Romano, the Portuguese admitted:
“We have five centre-backs, and one needs to leave because the position is overcrowded.”
The quintet of central defensive options at the disposal of Hansi Flick currently consists of Pau Cubarsí, Iñigo Martínez, Ronald Araújo, Andreas Christensen, and Eric García.
