‘What’s wrong with him?’ – Barcelona consider shock Jules Koundé sale amid alarming dip in form

A surprise insight into the future of Barcelona star Jules Koundé has come to the fore late this evening.

The info comes by way of Diario Sport, who point towards the powers that be in Catalunya beginning to take into consideration the Frenchman’s sale.

Koundé, for his part, is currently experiencing what many would no doubt describe as his worst stretch of form since making the move to Barcelona from Sevilla.

Clumsy, error-prone, and at times downright reckless, the versatile stopper was the target of heavy criticism once more on Wednesday, en route to Barca being sent packing from the Copa del Rey at the hands of Athletic Club.

Such woes have not gone at all unnoticed in Catalunya’s capital, either, with Sport confirming that ‘sources from the Barça club do not hide their enormous concern about the moment that Koundé is experiencing’.

‘What’s wrong with Jules Kounde?’ the question on everyone’s lips…

From boardroom all the way down to coaching staff, alarm bells have been set ringing, amid questions over not only the performances being put forth by the 25-year-old, but his mental fortitude, too.

In turn, it is suggested that Koundé could even be moved on come the summer.

Andreas Christensen was previously viewed as the likeliest of Xavi’s defensive options to be shipped off ahead of next season, amid an ongoing effort to raise funds.

However, the combination of Koundé’s dip in form, and the emergence of Pau Cubarsí, mean that it could in fact be the former who sees his spell in Catalunya cut short.
