An alarming piece of footage stemming from the third tier of Spanish football has come to the fore late on Saturday evening.
The incident in question played out during the Primera Federación meeting between Sestao, and Rayo Majadahonda.
Late in proceedings at El Campo Municipal de Las Llanas, with Sestao in possession of a 2-1 advantage, tensions boiled over between Rayo star Cheikh Kané Sarr, and a member of the home crowd.
After being subjected to alleged racist abuse on the part of the individual in question, goalkeeper Sarr departed his goal, to confront him.
Understandably incensed, the shot-stopper went on to grab a hold of the individual in question, before his teammates emerged onto the scene to ensure that things did not get completely out of hand.
Upon learning of the reasoning behind Sarr’s outburst, Rayo Majadahonda’s stars were quick to show their support, leaving the field of play to head back to the away dressing room.
This came after the 23-year-old was shown a red card for his actions.
The clash, as a result, has since been suspended.
