Watch: Real Madrid star scores from his own half in behind-closed-doors friendly

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was responsible for a moment of individual brilliance on Friday.

This came during Los Blancos’ training ground friendly meeting with Leganés.

For those not aware, Real Madrid were back in action a little over 24 hours ago.

Amid efforts to ramp up preparations for the new campaign, Xabi Alonso’s troops locked horns with the aforementioned Leganés, in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

When all was said and done, Real emerged on the right side of a 4-1 result, following a dominant display.

And the highlight of the clash, as alluded to above, came courtesy of a member of Xabi Alonso’s backline.

Still working his way back towards full fitness following his 2nd ACL injury, Éder Militão was afforded the chance to impress on Friday morning.

And to say that the Brazilian went on to take advantage of this opportunity would be something of an understatement.

As showcased below, Militão conjured up a moment of utter brilliance, finding the net from deep inside his own half after spotting Leganés’ goalkeeper off his line:
