Real Madrid are currently locked in action with Manchester City at the Bernabéu, as they look to find afe passage into the last 16 of the Champions League.
Los Blancos got off to the best possible start as Kyliam Mbappé got onto the scoresheet within the first five minutes of the tie. While it was a stunning finiash by the Frenchman, the set-up was worth admiration too.
22-year-old centre-back Raul Asencio delivered an inch perfect pass from the Real Madrid pass, which cut through the Man City defense and laid Mbappé up beautifully.
From there, it was a relatively simple half-volley from Mbappé to chip Ederson and get Real Madrid one foot into the next round of the Champions League.
With the tie currently at 4-2 on aggregate in favour of Real Madrid, it would take a miracle for Pep Guardiola’s side to get back into this one. There is still plenty of football to be played, however.
