Hansi Flick’s troops of course marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Japan for a friendly meeting with Vissel Kobe.
When all was said and done, Barca got their pre-season up and running with a positive result, in the form of an eventual 3-1 victory.
And notching the go-ahead goal on the day was a member of the summer recruitment list in Catalunya’s capital.
Afforded his first appearance in Blaugrana colours off the bench in Kobe, youngster Roony Bardghji found himself picked out on the right flank courtesy of Robert Lewandowski inside the closing quarter of an hour.
