Atlético Madrid star Jan Oblak was responsible for a moment of individual brilliance during the club’s latest outing.
This came courtesy of a stunning reflex save.
Atlético were of course back in action earlier this afternoon, making the trip to Catalunya for a La Liga meeting with Girona.
When all was said and done, Diego Simeone’s troops emerged on the right side of a dominant 3-0 result.
With the Rojiblancos leading by just a solitary goal midway through the first-half, though, the aforementioned Oblak was forced into action.
After the ball fell to Axel Witsel six yards from goal, the Belgian struck a solid effort towards the corner of the visitors’ net.
Oblak, however, had other ideas, diving to his left before somehow clawing the ball out to safety, preventing what looked nothing short of a certain Girona goal.
