Barcelona summer signing Karim Adeyemi this week provided a glimpse into his explosive talents, during a Blaugrana training session.
This came courtesy of a surge in behind during a drill amongst teammates.
Adeyemi is of course fresh off being unveiled as the latest high-profile addition to Hansi Flick’s Barca squad. After putting pen to paper on contract terms with the Blaugrana last week, the German international, in turn, has since linked up with his new teammates for a training camp in Staffordshire, England.
Adeyemi is expected to act as something of a spark plug in the Blaugrana’s frontline, a different profile from the likes of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres.
And as alluded to above, early this week, the 24-year-old showcased exactly why Hansi Flick and co. pushed so hard for his signature.
Considered one of the fastest players in world football, Adeyemi lived up to his reputation in beating Marc Casadó to a ball which he looked clear 2nd best for, before driving beyond the Spaniard towards goal:
