A piece of footage centering on Barcelona star Fermín López has gone viral online across the Spanish media on Wednesday. This comes owing to the midfielder’s exploits in training with the Spanish national team.
Fermín for his part linked back up with his teammates at international level for the first time since early in the year earlier this week.
After being forced to sit out La Roja’s triumphant campaign at this summer’s World Cup owing to an injury blow, the 23-year-old was rewarded for his early-season excellence at club level with an immediate recall from Luis de la Fuente.
Fermín, in turn, took part in training alongside the rest of the Spanish squad on Wednesday morning, amid ongoing preparations for a Nations League showdown with England this weekend.
And as alluded to above, in the midst of as much, the Barca standout was responsible for a viral moment.
After finding the net during a training drill, Fermín turned towards a group of his compatriots, before celebrating with a golf swing gesture. This just so happens to be the same celebration which Alejandro Grimaldo made use of after opening the scoring in Atlético’s derby day victory over Dean Huijsen and Marc Cucurella’s Real Madrid this past weekend…
