Barcelona star Gavi was on Friday put through the traditional ‘tunnel of slaps’ at the club’s training base.
This came to recognise the midfielder’s long-awaited return to group training.
Youngster Gavi was for his part condemned to a fresh stretch away from the pitch all the way back in September.
As much came upon the Barcelona medical team making the call to send the 21-year-old under the knife, for a knee operation.
Gavi suffered a problem in the same knee in which he previously tore the ACL during the early weeks of the campaign, with the Blaugrana having been understandably keen to take no chances.
The Spanish international has spent the time since working tirelessly behind the scenes, with a view to taking his place back on the pitch as soon as possible.
And as alluded to above, on Friday, Gavi took another significant step towards precisely that.
